The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
